Bill Simmons sparked rumors that Taylor Swift is pregnant after claiming her fiancé, Travis Kelce, is “having a kid with her.” It is unclear if Simmons misspoke or knows something the rest of the world doesn’t, but his comments on Sunday has the couple’s fanbase shaken.  

Simmons was reflecting on Kelce’s career with the Kansas City Chiefs after the team’s loss to the Tennessee Titans on December 21, 2025. The loss officially ended their Super Bowl hopes for 2026 as they fell out of playoff contention.

The sports podcaster pleaded with Kelce to end his NFL career two games early. He then added, “It was officially a ‘feel bad for Kelce’. Guy’s a Hall of Famer, he’s getting married to Taylor Swift, having a kid with her, probably flies everywhere private, has private security everywhere he goes.”

The NFL analyst continued his rant, “And he’s just kind of running around this …… Titans game, trying not to get hurt. Fake an injury. Just fake an injury and end the thing.”

Fans on X (formerly Twitter) took a dig at Simmons in the comments, writing, “mixing up Josh Allen’s announcement with his wife.” While another quipped, “love that he knows that shes pregnant but isnt sure if he flies private or not.”

The 36-year-old footballer was playing in Sunday’s game in Nashville despite the Chiefs not being able to make the playoffs following what has been a hugely disappointing campaign. The Chiefs play next on Christmas Day back at Arrowhead Stadium against Denver.

Swift has not attended many of the team’s recent home games, but if it’s indeed his last ever game at Arrowhead, one can expect to see her in the stands. Given that Kelce retires once the season ends, which many expect at this stage.

Kelce and Swift have earlier discussed the possibility of having children, and with their wedding approaching. Fans are eager to see when the couple might announce the news for real. 

The two announced their engagement in August and are expected to get married next summer in Rhode Island. Earlier, it was reported that they are to marry on June 13, 2026, the date corresponding to her favorite number. The 36-year-old pop star told Marie Claire in 2012 that she was looking forward to being a mom. However, she backtracked her comments in a 2014 InStyle interview. Swift revealed that her pop star lifestyle was not well-suited to motherhood. 

She noted, “I don’t know if I’ll have kids. It’s impossible not to picture certain scenarios and how you would try to convince them that they have a normal life when, inevitably, there will be strange men pointing giant cameras at them from the time they are babies.”

Kelce, however, is a doting uncle to his four nieces, whom his brother, Jason Kelce, shares with his podcaster wife, Kylie Kelce. 

In August, a source told US Weekly that the couple may “not wait too long” to start their “dream” family after getting engaged. The insider revealed, “She’s in a great space in her career and with her success, and she can take some time away.” The outlet further wrote that Swift and Kelce “absolutely want” to welcome children together.
