Erika Kirk has become a household name ever since her husband, Charlie Kirk, was shot. She has been making headlines almost every day, all thanks to her viral hugs with JD Vance, her slip of the tongue, and so on. Well, one thing that never changes in all these situations is her overdone makeup, and that has everyone talking.

According to thelist.com, Erika has become the poster woman for Mar-a-Lago face, which is a common trend among the Republican women that involves too much of everything. In her case, it is too much mascara, eyeliner, foundation, bronzer, and so on.

She is currently promoting her late husband’s final book, which was published after his death on December 9. Erika, who was named as Charlie’s successor at TPUSA after his death, has been making several public appearances of late. This only means viewers are getting to see more and more of her heavy makeup look.

Although she might look fine from afar, close-up shots have been disastrous according to critics. Online scrutiny has been inevitable.

Many feel that Erika has not been able to get over her Miss Arizona days, when she was used to such complicated beauty routines. And that stands outdated in 2025 and makes her look almost unrecognisable as compared to the very few times when she sported a no-makeup look.

Wearing such heavy makeup all the time has given rise to many disasters in the past couple of months. Let’s look at a few of them.

On December 3, Erika attended the New York Times Dealbook Summit, which was part of her promotional tour for her late husband’s new book. As always, she did not hesitate to cover her face with layers of heavy makeup, appearing to look like she always does initially. But later, with hot lights and her crying episodes, her cakey makeup was getting ruined.

It appeared as if her face was beginning to melt. And this was a clear indication that she was wearing way too many layers of makeup than required, as there were also signs of foundation caking on her chin.

A similar makeup blunder happened with her during her appearance on Hannity to promote her husband’s book at Fox News Studios in Manhattan. Her lips were covered in too much gloss, which made them shine like the sun. And we bet you would need sunglasses to look at her face in one go, as even her lower forehead and cheeks were glowing. This is never a sign of a good makeup.

Even though she went viral for her intimate hug to Vice President JD Vance, her cakey makeup was still the talk of the town.

Everyone must have been confused whether to look at the way she was hugging Vance or to fix their gazes on her over flushed cheeks and extra glossy lips.

Well, Erika’s craze for heavy makeup does not seem to be dying down anytime soon. Hence, brace yourselves for more such blunders to come in the future.
