Former couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reunited for Christmas shopping. The two were spotted together on Sunday, December 21, 2025, along with Affleck’s 13-year-old son, Samuel, for shopping and lunch in Los Angeles’ Brentwood Country Mart.

A source close to the exes told People that the two were “fine” with each other and mostly prioritized showing up and shopping for Samuel. The insider revealed, “They met up and went shopping together. Jen and Ben seemed fine.”

The insider added that the “On The Floor” hitmaker seemed enthusiastic to shop for Samuel, and the two visited some high-end stores to purchase some gifts for the 13-year-old.

The insider added, “He (Samuel) was excited and chatty. They shopped for gifts in several high-end stores. Jen asked a lot of questions and picked up gifts for Ben’s kids. They arrived and left separately.”

The 56-year-old singer-actress was also seen arriving separately to meet the father-son duo. Lopez chose a stylish polka-dotted sleeveless black and white dress, pairing it with a white sweater.

Jennifer and Affleck fell in love on the sets of their 2003 film Gigli. They got engaged in 2002 but separated in 2004. Years later, they sent their “Bennifer” fans into a frenzy after they rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in July 2022.

However, the Anaconda actress filed for divorce in August 2024, which was finalized in early 2025. However, Affleck shares a close bond with both his ex-wives, Jennifer Garner and Lopez, which regularly becomes meme fodder, given that both of his former wives share the same name.

The 53-year-old has three children, namely Violet (19), Seraphina (16), and Samuel, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. While Lopez shares twins, Maz and Emme (17), with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.

Some social media users were quick to share their response after the ex-couple reunited. One of the social media users stated, “They are soulmates, okay.”

Another X user theorized that things would work out between Affleck and Lopez if they did not live together under the same roof.

The comment said, “They are the couple with whom things could work out if they just did not live with each other and would have been cool with not getting married. You can just look at them and make out that they are in together for the long haul and just need some time apart.”

Another user on X joked, “Life, death, taxes, and Ben Affleck going back to Lopez or Garner.” A social media user added, “Ben’s out there collecting ‘Jens’ like he is Thanos or something.”

An X user chimed in, “I’m sorry, he is the love of her life, they just need to get it figured out somehow.” Another insider close to the Hypnotic actor had earlier revealed to the publication in September that both Affleck and Lopez are taking a conscious effort for their children to be reunited despite their separation.

The insider revealed, “The kids are still really close. They have the same groups of friends, they see each other, and they talk all the time. They make sure the kids know they get along.”
