All eyes were on the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, when she wore Queen Victoria’s tiara, which was made in 1853 and was commissioned by Prince Albert while hosting the Prime Minister of Germany at the State Banquet.
The exquisite headpiece filled with bejeweled rubies and 2,600 diamonds was paired with an opulent, electric blue shimmery gown with a long cape. However, rumor has it that Queen Camilla has been left fuming with this ambitious sartorial choice made by Kate.
Queen Camilla was “hopping mad” with Kate after this and found it “unacceptable.” The 78-year-old monarch felt that this was an alleged attempt by the Duchess of Cambridge to garner the entire limelight for herself on the occasion.

A source close to the royal fiasco revealed to Closer Online that the Queen found Kate’s behavior to be “unacceptable” with her choice of attire. The source told the publication, “By all accounts, she was hopping mad that she wore the giant tiara at the banquet last week; she said it was another blatant attempt by Kate to hog the limelight.”
The source made a bold claim that the Queen feels that the 43-year-old, along with her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, is throwing her weight around and acting as if she owns Buckingham Palace.
The source added, “The fact Kate and William are throwing their weight around and essentially swaggering around like they own Buckingham Palace is totally unacceptable, and she’s not willing to let it go.”

According to the report, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted the Prime Minister of Germany at the State Banquet to relieve King Charles of some of the load pertaining to the royal duties in the wake of his cancer treatment.
However, Queen Camilla is reportedly still “possessive and territorial” about her position as the reigning Queen. She feels that Middleton has been “taking too much of an authority,” which she feels is simply “unacceptable.”
The source added, “There’s no doubt she’s panicked about where she’ll stand in the new scheme of things, but instead of falling into line and respecting Kate, she’s chosen to be petty and territorial.”

Furthermore, the source revealed that Camilla is being cordial with the Princess of Wales in public, but there’s a different story behind closed doors.
The source went on to say, “She’s being professional and cordial when they’re together in public, but behind closed doors Camilla’s not shy at all about making her feelings known, and it’s been quite the talking point for a while now because she’s so vocal to courtiers and other senior royals.”
Reportedly, the 78-year-old monarch has a strong support system within some prominent members of the Royal clan who believe that she should be treated with more respect while she is still the Queen.
The source said, “In fairness to Camilla, she does have some support within the Firm, and some believe she should be afforded more respect and authority whilst she’s still Queen.”
However, the source hinted that the Queen has to soon accept that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be the ones to take the legacy of the Royal Family forward.
The source also went on to say that Camilla might be at the “mercy” of Kate in the future when it comes to the perks and the influence within the Royal Family.
The source revealed, “Camilla can gripe all she wants; there’s no changing the reality that Kate will be Queen one day, and Camilla could be isolated and effectively at her mercy in terms of the perks and influence within the Firm.”
It also hinted that the Prince and Princess of Wales might be preparing to inculcate their influence within the Royal Family even before becoming the King and Queen.
It said, “It’ll be hard for her to swallow her pride and accept Kate’s authority, but that’s precisely what she’ll need to do. Preparations are already in full swing for the Waleses to enforce their changes to the monarchy even before they’re King and Queen.”
